Surya Pharmaceuticals is a pioneer manufacturer of polyherbal and Ayurvedic products that are scientifically validated. The company was founded in 1983 under the inspiration of Late Prof. Dr. Surendra Narayan Tripathi with the objective of producing ethical Ayurvedic products for the world. Prof. S. N. Tripathi was a renowned Ayurvedic physician born in 1932 in Varanasi. His father, Pt. Dev Dutt Tripathi, was the royal physician to the Maharaja of the ancient Banaras Kingdom. Prof. Tripathi completed his graduation and post-graduation in Ayurveda with several distinctions and awards. He contributed significantly to Ayurveda by serving in important positions, including Head and Dean of the Faculty of Ayurveda at BHU and Director of the WHO Collaboration Centre, Institute of Medical Sciences. Surya's products are based on his scientific knowledge and clinical experience.

He inspired his youngest son, Dr. Vachaspati Tripathi, to continue the family tradition of manufacturing safe and effective Ayurvedic products. Dr. Vachaspati Tripathi inherited Ayurvedic knowledge from his father and ancestors. He is a renowned Ayurvedic scientist who has continued the family legacy while using modern scientific methods to develop and validate Surya's polyherbal formulations. He has published scientific research papers in Ayurveda and presented them at major conferences. He holds a Ph.D. in Ayurveda, B.Pharma (Hons.), and M.Pharma (Hons.) from IIT (BHU).

Surya's products are free from contaminated organic solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microorganisms, in accordance with international QA/QC standards. The products are designed to be safe without toxic or adverse side effects.

Surya's products are marketed in Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, England, and the USA. In the United States, they have been marketed by Nutraceuticals Corporation, Ogden, Utah, after receiving USA FDA clearance.

The company's main manufacturing unit is located in the ancient city of Varanasi. The facility includes export infrastructure and a herbal garden where standardized medicinal herbs are cultivated and preserved.
